Western Star featured two J&J dump bodies at their Serious Ride and Drive which recently took place in Detroit. The event consisted of a plant tour and the opportunity for dealers and customers to put a variety of trucks through a battery of tough tests on dirt tracks and highway and maneuverability courses. J&J Truck Bodies & Trailers sent Jason Cornell, Director of Business Development, to help out and demonstrate features on J&J's Off Road (OR) and Material Hauler (MH) dump bodies.
The 40-ton Off Road J&J dump body is mounted on a Western Star 6900XD. It was shown at the Mid America Truck Show earlier this year and was also displayed at the Brickyard 400 Nascar event in July. In October, it will go to a mine training event at Allison Transmission proving grounds in Indianapolis, where dealers and body builders can experience the truck first hand. From then on, it will be touring mine sites across the country for demo purposes.
